Workshop ‘parent-child’

Introduction to the workshop

These creative workshops offer a unique moment of sharing between parents and children, where art becomes a vehicle for connection and expression. They can be organized in cultural centers, for private or public events, and can be adapted to different contexts.

Each session lasts around 2 hours and offers a fun, immersive approach to painting.

For whom?

The parent-child workshops are aimed at families wishing to share a moment of complicity through painting, as well as event organizers, cultural centers and schools wishing to offer a fun and accessible artistic activity.

These workshops are designed for all ages, with no drawing or painting prerequisites.

Where?

Workshops can be held indoors or outdoors, depending on the theme and location.

They are suitable for cultural centers, private events, festivals, schools, or any space hosting creative and family activities.

Parent-child workshop themes

Painting duo: "The shared family painting".

Inspired by my collective art workshops, each parent-child duo starts a painting at the same time, but with a twist: the child starts one side of the canvas and the parent finishes the other (or vice versa).

The aim is to collaborate on a common work of art, while giving free rein to the imagination.

Painting in the manner of "...".

Inspired by my thematic art workshops, each session features a famous artist (such as Monet, Picasso or Kandinsky).

The workshop begins with a brief introduction to the artist and his style, before parents and children work together to create a painting inspired by his technique.

Water paint and color explosion: "Colorful bubbles".

Inspired by my “L’art du lâcher-prise” workshops, participants use liquid inks or diluted paints, blown through a straw, to create organic shapes and colorful bubble effects.

You can then add details and motifs to personalize your work.

Painting in motion: "The art of movement

Inspired by my “L’art du lâcher-prise” workshops, this workshop combines music and painting in a dynamic session where body movement guides creation.

Listening to music, parents and children paint as they move, exploring fluid, spontaneous gestures.

Painting with found objects: "Nature in paint

Inspired by my “Art in Nature” workshops, participants go in search of natural elements (leaves, branches, pebbles) and use them as painting tools.

For example, a leaf can be used as a buffer, while a branch can be used to draw single lines.

These workshops can be adapted to suit the age of the children and the time available. The aim is to create a fun, pressure-free environment where art becomes a means of expression and sharing between parents and children.

How a parent-child workshop works

Approximately 2 hours in length. The aim is to encourage free expression, collaboration and the pleasure of creating together, in a friendly, fun atmosphere. The workshop follows several stages:

Home

– Presentation of the workshop, its theme and the techniques used.

Exploration and inspiration

– Depending on the theme, warm-up exercises, discovering artists or gathering natural elements can be suggested.

Duo creation

– Parents and children paint together, freely experimenting with shapes and colors.

Sharing and conclusion

– Everyone presents their work, shares their experience and leaves with their creation.

Don't worry about a thing!

All necessary materials are provided: canvas, brushes, paints and other creative tools. If you’d like to work on a different medium, you can also bring your own canvas.

We’ll also take care of all the clean-up after the workshop, so that you can enjoy your experience to the full without any hassle.

Finally, each participant leaves with his or her own creation, a unique souvenir of this moment of connection with nature and creativity.
