About us

Since I was very young, I’ve lived and worked with different cultures around the world. Human beings, their interactions with others and the environment have always fascinated me. At the age of 17, I arrived in Europe to undertake studies that would link my multiple interests in art, the humanities and the applied sciences: architecture.
However, right from the start of my career, I quickly became disenchanted with the lack of real consideration given to Man and the living world in the way we design, develop projects, build and occupy spaces today.

When I became the mother of two boys, my questions multiplied. Questions about our fast-paced lifestyles. Lives built around objectives that are disconnected from the needs of our bodies and nature, and therefore have a harmful impact on our health and that of the planet.

Faced with these questions, I began a quest for new knowledge through reading and training in the fields of psychology, philosophy, ecology and the art of painting. This quest is founded on a desire to better understand myself, those around me, and the society and environment that surround us.

In our society, burn-outs and eco-anxiety are frequent phenomena of disconnection. Many people are looking for meaning in their work and their lives, and want to take concrete action for their well-being and that of our planet.

The sciences of ecology and artistic expression provide the inspiration and motivation to unblock situations or behaviours and take action. But before taking action, I believe it’s important to acquire a better understanding of ourselves and our role in society, so that we can find our rightful place and bring the best of ourselves to the world.

Today, through ViciaFlow, I lead individual and group workshops linking art and ecology. Passing on the knowledge and tools I’ve acquired to reconnect with myself and the living world.

Why paint?

Because painting soothes and reconnects us to ourselves, to our intuition, to our inner child. My painting process begins by placing drops of ink on a damp background to create an abstract, colorful and often messy background. A disorder similar to that which our minds are confronted with on a daily basis, bombarded by multiple pieces of information and images mixed with many inner thoughts.

Watching colored inks blend to create harmony on a canvas brings a sense of peace. As we experience this process, our focus shifts to admiring the flow of color on the canvas. We enter a phase of wonder.

Once we’re fully present and connected to our painting, we start to notice hidden shapes, and that’s when we discover the magic of hidden shapes. These shapes are then brought to light by numerous layers of watercolor brushstrokes. It’s a playful process driven by our mind, body and heart all at once.

Whatever the outcome of the paintings produced, the process of creating these little abstract worlds and colorful ladies brought me joy. For in creating, we connect with our soul, rediscovering the curiosity and lucidity of our inner child that we too often ignore.
